About Willena

The name Willena (pronounced wi-LAY-nuh) means “determined protector,” which captures how I approach estate planning.

Willena exists to make attorney-created estate planning more accessible for individuals and couples with a total net worth under about $4 million, who are often underserved by traditional law firm models but still deserve thoughtful guidance, not fill-in-the-blank forms.

What Makes Willena Different

Instead of surprise bills or hourly rates that make you afraid to ask questions, Willena uses a pricing menu. When we meet, we'll go over the menu options together so you can decide which services best meet your goals and budget. Based on our initial conversation, I'll let you know the estimated fee.

If you later decide you want to add something (like a Trust) or simplify your plan, you'll already know exactly how the price adjusts. No guessing, no sticker shock.

By keeping overhead lean, I can offer attorney-created estate plans that are intentionally priced at the lower end of the market. I hold my meetings in a private co-working space (rather than a high rent traditional office) and make smart use of legal tech. You get the expertise and customization you need without paying for fluff. But before you make a decision, I encourage you to shop around and see how my experience and prices compare.

Estate planning doesn't have to feel like walking into an intimidating law office where you're afraid to ask “dumb questions.” My clients tell me things like, “You make talking about my death almost fun.” That’s exactly the experience I want you to have. We’ll talk through difficult decisions with clarity and even some lightness. You’ll leave feeling accomplished, not overwhelmed.

About Rachel

Rachel Murphy, Founding Attorney

I’m a Chicago area native and Stanford Law School graduate but, since 2013, I’ve made Boise my home. During the pandemic, I moved into estate planning at a local law firm.

After more than 15 years practicing in other areas of law—including at a large firm in New York City and at the Illinois Attorney General’s Office—I’d handled complex legal problems, high-stakes decisions, and detailed documents. Estate planning lets me bring that same level of care and precision to something that feels more personal and rewarding: helping Idaho families protect the people and causes they love.

A few years ago, I saw a need in the community and collaborated with the Idaho Volunteer Lawyers Program to start a pro bono clinic offering free simplified estate plans to those who qualify. That experience reinforced what I already knew: estate planning shouldn’t be accessible only to the wealthy. Everyone deserves the protection and peace of mind that comes with a thoughtful estate plan created by an experienced attorney. That’s why I founded Willena.

“Early in my career, I learned one of the most valuable lessons any attorney can learn: my job isn’t to push you toward my idea of the ‘right’ decision. It’s to educate and empower you to make the best decisions for yourself and your family.”

That philosophy is at the heart of Willena. I want to sit down with you, talk through what matters most, and create a plan that puts your mind at ease. And maybe even make talking to a lawyer fun.

Looking Ahead

I plan to grow Willena over the next few years by bringing on experienced attorneys who want to build a sustainable, client-focused practice within a shared brand and support structure.

I'm looking for like-minded attorneys with 10+ years of experience who care deeply about high-quality estate planning, value autonomy in their work, and are interested in compensation that reflects their individual efforts.

If that sounds like a fit, I’d welcome a conversation. Please email me at [email protected], and I’ll be in touch about potential opportunities as they develop.
